Throughout the Old Testament, God used hand-selected prophets to communicate messages to His people. It’s through the lives of these prophets that we get to understand the heart of God, His desire and love for His people, and the way God can use ordinary people to deliver extraordinary messages of hope, conviction, and encouragement. There were hundreds of prophets throughout Jewish history, 16 of whom would have their own named books in the Old Testament - including a man named Jonah.

Jonah is not a typical prophecy book, given that it tells a story of a prophet running from God, more than quoting messages from God. Yet its message is just as powerful as any of the other prophet’s books.

This 4-week Studying Jonah Bible Study will walk you chapter-by-chapter through the book of Jonah and give you a front-row seat to:

a reluctant servant who tried to flee from God and His purpose
a group of unassuming shipmates who came to fear the Lord
an undeserving people group who experienced the unconditional love of God
an active God who pursues His people every step of the way

In an unexpected turn of events, this prophet’s story, like many other prophet’s stories, helps us understand God’s deep love for humanity and how best to share that love with others - even those that we don’t think deserve it. We can’t wait for you to “dive in” to this study.
